Concrete drill (depending on site)

HANDLING THE CONSTRUCTION SITE

Before installing the MPC decking, make sure the ground is flat and the foundation is hard. For the ground, there must be hard points to fix the beams.

For concrete foundations, thickness and hardness must be ensured to avoid drilling holes that cause the ground to crack, sink, or are not good for the expansion of plastic bars. Screws used in the installation process must be galvanized or stainless steel to avoid rust.

INSTALLATION STEPS

Step 1: Spread the beam on the surface

After the ground has been processed, we begin to spread the beams with a distance between the two bars of 300-400mm

Step 2:  Fix the beams to the surface to be installed

Use corner brace to fix the beams through the pre-installed plastic screw anchor.

Auxiliary materials

Stainless steel corner brace (20mmx30mm)

Step 3: Install the first decking board

The way to install MPC decking is to choose a location as a base, usually the innermost corner of the premises to be installed. Then install the starting board, we use additional stainless steel screwdriver bits and decking clip to fix the decking to the beam

Step 4: Install the next decking boards

In the category of outdoor flooring, the most common type is parallel lining (straight circuit) in a ratio of 1:2 (or 1:4). The decking will be staggered to create a simple, very sturdy structure.

For example, Fortadeck decking has a total length of 3000mm. We take the first board with a length of 3000mm, the next board is 1/2 of the starting plate and will be equal to 1500mm. Continue like this until the surface is covered.

Note: Because this is an outdoor flooring item and especially for the swimming pool area, we need to keep the gap between two floor boards from 5-7mm. This helps with drainage as well as thermal expansion due to long-term exposure to direct sunlight

Step 5: Install the remaining boards sequentially

Continue installing the remaining decking boards until the surface is covered in a straight line (parallel) with a 5mm gap between the two boards.

Step 6. Check and complete the installation process

Depending on the needs and current status of the project, we can use additional V-braces to round corners and edges to ensure aesthetics as well as reinforce the flooring item. For large-scale projects, we can apply the picture framing method to create a highlight and meet the best load-bearing capacity.
